A TYPICAL DAY
Early morning you will receive a call letting you know about the snow and weather conditions and if we are flying today. A pickup time is given and your guide will pick you up from your accommodation in either Queenstown or Wanaka.
We will transport you and your ski/snowboard gear to the departure point. Your mode of travel might be by minivan, boat or you can even choose to pay a small additional fee and take the fly/fly option to get a longer scenic flight on the way to your first run of the day.
The best terrain for the day is dictated by snowfall and weather conditions. At the staging area you will be allocated a guide for your group of 4-5 people. The groups will be put together based on your ability and of course taking into account groups of friends and families.
Safety is our number one priority and your guide will issue you with an avalanche transceiver, teaching you all you need to know to ensure your safety in the mountains. They will also teach you about safety around helicopters.
Accompanied by your guide and group you will set off for the day of your life in one of our pristine mountain ranges.
After your morning runs, lunch will be served on a snow table. A buffet style of hot and cold cuisine overlooking our stunning scenery. If you want to add on any extra runs this is the time to do it.
After some more runs to tire you out, we will get you back to your accommodation in the late afternoon, ready to share your experience and get online bragging points with your mates.
All prices include: guides, lunch, landing permits, Department of Conservation fees, use of avalanche transceivers.
